19 Hiking Spots in NJ to Check Out!🥾🍃

These are some of New Jersey’s best hiking locations around the state! I recommend checking out the @alltrails app for specific trail routes and details!😆

1. Worthington State Forest (Warren County) - enjoy the 3.6-mile Mt. Tammany Red Dot & Blue Dot Loop Trail.

2. Pyramid Mountain (Morris County) - various trails with views of the distant NYC skyline.

3. High Point State Park (Sussex County) - Hike the popular 3.5-mile Monument Trail Loop.

4. Wawayanda State Park (Sussex County) - I recommend hiking the Stairway to Heaven trail which is in Vernon.

5. Stokes State Forest (Sussex County) - Stokes State Forest has 24 marked trails including over 12 miles of the Appalachian Trail.

6. Palisades Interstate Park (Bergen County) - The Giant Stairs is a difficult 4.3 mile hike with about a mile of rock scrambles.

7. South Mountain Reservation (Essex County) - A popular hiking trail at South Mountain is the 1.6-mile Hemlock Falls Trail.

8. Ramapo Valley County Reservation
(Bergen County) - enjoy the Vista Loop Trail, which takes you along a 3.5 mile loop marked with yellow blazes.

9. Norvin Green State Forest (Passaic County) - From scenic vistas of a distant NYC skyline to nearby lakes, small waterfalls, foliage etc., this forest has a lot of beauty to offer.

10. Hacklebarney State Park (Morris County) - you can enjoy the 1.8-mile Riverside Trail here.

11. Garret Mountain Reservation (Passaic County) - enjoy the 2.9-mile yellow and white loop hiking trail with a nice view of the NYC skyline.

12. Sourland Mountain Preserve (Somerset County) - The perimeter of the trails total 5.4 miles.

13. Cheesequake State Park (Middlesex County) - well-marked trails throughout.

14. Hartshorne Woods Park (Monmouth County) - casual trails along the water.

April is such a great time to visit gardens, farms, and arboretums around NJ!

We’re at the peak/nearing the end of cherry blossom and daffodil season in most places now. Tulips are still going strong for about another week at @hollandridgefarms 🌷 A lot of local arboretums/gardens are still featuring spring blooms, but we are nearing the end of the season for these flowers! Late spring and summer blooms will start coming soon to NJ though)☺️

This brunch restaurant in Monmouth County is absolutely beautiful, the food is delicious, and the service is wonderful!☺️

There’s also the cutest little gift shop attached to the restaurant!

Maeberrie Market is just a short minute or two-drive from the beach, and makes for the perfect spring/summer brunch spot in NJ!🌊

The restaurant is closed on Mondays & Tuesdays. Takeout is available as well. Happy brunching(:

Planting Fields is absolutely stunning and 100% worth the visit. As a flower and garden lover, I was obsessed with this place!😍🌸
