Enjoy the most beautiful flower fields this year across the Garden State! New Jersey is home to many picturesque farms and I am a sucker for an aesthetic flower field. From summer flowers to classic sunflowers, there are plenty of farms to visit all around the state. I’ve compiled a list of some of New Jersey’s most beautiful flower fields you can visit in 2022!
1. Holland Ridge Farms (Cream Ridge, NJ)
Holland Ridge Farms is the largest U-pick flower farm in the USA! I have been to this Monmouth County farm multiple times for their U-pick tulips in the spring, and U-pick sunflowers in the fall. You can purchase admission tickets for $13/person here, and their spring tulip season runs from April 15 – May 1, 2022.

2. Happy Day Farm (Manalapan, NJ)
Happy Day Farm will open to the public for lavender field viewing starting June 11, 2022. U-pick sunflowers opens July 4th weekend and their massive sunflower field is also a part of their fall festivities. Admission tickets to enter the farm will be announced on their website. I visited the farm last September and enjoyed walking through their stunning zinnia field and sunflower patch! The farm also offers fun fall activities for the whole family. 3. Ward’s Farm (Mannington, NJ)
Ward’s Farm in South Jersey is open to the public for U-pick sunflowers in the summer. The exact event days when you can visit the farm can be found on the events tab of their website once announced. Tickets are required to enter the farm for the U-pick sunflowers, but are free.

4. Princeton Lavender (Princeton, NJ)
Princeton Lavender invites guests to visit and stroll through their lavender farm, purchase bundles of lavender, and check out the goats, alpacas, and other farm animals. Lavender season is typically in/around June, so be sure to check their website and socials for the best time to visit!

5. Alstede Farms (Chester, NJ)
Alstede Farms offers pick-your-own berries, flowers, pumpkins, apples and more, as well as farm tours and events. U-pick zinnias and sunflowers are available from mid-July through mid-September.

6. Johnson’s Corner Farm (Medford, NJ)
Johnson’s Corner Farm offers U-pick tulips and even has a separate field for walking through and taking photos. The tulip field is currently open in April for picking and you can purchase tickets here. With Easter 2022 right around the corner, you can choose to do an egg hunt and tulip picking hayride for $10/person, or a just a tulip picking hayride ticket for $6/person. 7. Hidden Spring Lavender & Alpaca Farm (Skillman, NJ)
Hidden Spring Lavender Farm is a family-owned farm that invites guests to walk around the premises and enjoy views of fresh lavender plants, as well as their alpacas. You can also purchase packages to walk an alpaca or do a professional photoshoot in the lavender field. The best time to visit the farm to view the lavender is June and July, and there is no fee to enter.

8. Pleasant Valley Lavender (Morganville, NJ)
Pleasant Valley Lavender is selling U-pick lavender tickets for $21.35 per car (or $25 at the entrance as a drop in). Tickets to view and pick the lavender field are available for sale from June 18 through July 13, 2022, and can be purchased on their website now as of April.

9. Dalton Farms (Swedesboro, NJ)
The 2022 Dalton Farms Tulip Festival is currently taking place as I am writing this article on April 13 and the event is running until April 24. You can purchase tickets to view the tulips here, and the cost is $14.40 including fees per person ages 3+.

10. Johnson’s Locust Hall Farm (Jobstown, NJ)
Johnson’s Locust Hall Farm offers rustic charm and a few different U-pick options such as sunflowers, field flowers, and fresh produce. The summer harvest season from late-June through August is the best time to visit for viewing the flower fields. You can also view and pick the sunflowers during the fall season, and enjoy other farm activities. Locust Hall is a popular wedding venue spot as well!

11. Von Thun Farms (Washington, NJ)
Von Thun Farms in Washington is a great spot to visit during the summer if you want to take in the beauty of their sunflowers. Walk through their famous sunflower trail this summer starting in July, and enjoy other fun events/activities hosted by the farm spring through fall! 12. Terhune Orchards (Princeton, NJ)
Terhune Orchards is fun spot to visit in the Princeton area, and has a lot to offer from a winery to a wide selection of pick-your-own flowers/produce, farm animals and more. I visited this farm summer of 2020 and adored our day here. They have colorful flowers all around the property and other touches that are great for photos!

13. Melick’s Town Farm (Oldwick, NJ)
Melick’s Town Farm is known for their massive apple orchard which is beautiful to visit in the fall. Their Oldwick location also has beautiful flower fields and pick-your-own sunflowers and zinnia’s from roughly July through September. 14. Silverton Farms (Toms River, NJ)
Silverton Farms is located right off the parkway in Toms River, and has some beautiful photo ops to check out. This family-run farm has a strong focus on sustainability, and also offers a pick-your-own experience for fresh produce and flowers during the summer months.

15. Stony Hill Farms (Chester, NJ)
Stony Hill Farms is a popular North Jersey farm known for its beautiful sunflower field, seasonal events and treats, and massive corn maze. The farm hosts an annual sunflower festival which typically runs from mid/late-July through mid-August. They also offer pick-your-own flowers during the summer and fall. Keep an eye on their website for when tickets go on sale to attend and frolic the picturesque sunflower field!
