📍Cattus Island County Park, 1170 Cattus Island Blvd, Toms River, NJ

📌Free to visit
📌530 acres of woodlands, salt marshes, tidal flats, and beautiful views
📌7 miles of walking trails

Cattus Island is a wonderful spot for birdwatching, photography, and hiking!

There is a pretty sizable parking lot on-site, and the park tends to be busiest in the summer.

The park also features the Cooper Environmental Center, which is perfect for families or those intrigued by wildlife to check out! It also has bathrooms.

There is even a short, boardwalk path that is wheelchair accessible! The park is dog-friendly with a leash.

Don’t forget to keep our beautiful parks clean and take or dispose of your trash.

This Ocean County park is expansive, offering walking trails, wetlands, beautiful views, an environmental center, and more!

📌Easily spend a few hours exploring the park and enjoying the trails

Cattus Island County Park is free to explore and there’s a good amount of parking available. It’s more quaint this time of year, and tends to get more crowded in the summer.

If you’re in the area and want a quick bite to eat, definitely check out @thesaladhouse in Toms River! So delicious and easy!😋

A day in the western part of Central Jersey🍂🥾🍦

Last Saturday, we spent a day in the Mercer & Hunterdon County area, starting with a little hike at the Ted Stiles Preserve at Baldpate Mountain. The trail was interesting and we came across abandoned buildings!

Just a short drive from there was our next stop: Goat Hill Overlook in Lambertville, NJ. This is a great spot to see the sunset, and we even bumped into a couple that just got engaged!💕

We then made our way back to Eastern NJ, but made a stop at @seasons52 in Princeton for a fantastic dinner! I’ve been to a few locations of this restaurant and it’s always so good!

Our final stop on our way back east was @jerseyfreeze1952 in Freehold for some decadent ice cream!😋

I’m looking forward to spring and showing more outdoor activities and day trips in NJ as our state becomes more vibrant!
