New Jersey offers an array of breathtaking spots where stunning sunflower blooms stretch far and wide. This blog post shares nine of New Jersey’s beautiful sunflower fields to visit in 2023, along with pertinent details and a glimpse of the unique experiences they offer!
1. Alstede Farms
Location: 1 Alstede Farms Lane, Chester, NJ 07930
Admission Cost: included with pick-your-own admission when available (ticket prices vary)
Dates Open: July – October 2023
Lose yourself in a sea of vibrant sunflowers when strolling through the Blooming Giants Sunflower Trail at Alstede Farms! Capture stunning photos and enjoy fun farm activities like picking your own produce! They also have a little farm market on site, homemade ice cream, farm animals, and more that you can see for free! Tickets to do the Blooming Giants Sunflower Trail also include other PYO opportunities and can be purchased on their website here.
2. Sussex County Sunflower Maze
Location: Liberty Farm, 101 Route 645, Sandyston, NJ 07826
Admission Cost: typically costs $10 per person
Dates Open: August 3rd – September 17th, 2023
Traverse through the beautiful Sussex County Sunflower Maze in late summer 2023. Visitors can revel in the spectacular views of the farm. The farm is open daily from 9 AM to 7 PM from August 3rd to September 17th, 2023.
3. Snyder’s Farm Sunflower Trail
Location: 586 South Middlebush Road, Somerset, NJ 08873

Dates Open: Sept. 30th, Oct. 1st, Oct. 7/8, Oct. 14/15, Oct. 21/22, and Oct. 28/29, 2023
Visitors can walk through Snyder’s Farm Sunflower Trail which bursts with sunflowers during the Fall Festival in October! U-pick sunflowers cost $2 per stem. Indulge in tasty treats at the farm market, and enjoy hayrides plus farm-themed activities for the whole family while visiting.
4. Johnson’s Corner Farm Sunflower Stroll
Location: 133 Church Road, Medford, NJ 08055

Dates Open: weekends only starting in Mid-September 2023
Delight in the picturesque Sunflower Stroll at Johnson’s Corner Farm this September! Explore the farm’s playgrounds and animal farm, and savor homemade ice cream from the farm’s fruits. The Sunflower Stroll will only be available on Saturdays and Sundays (the exact start date is still TBD). Sunflowers will cost $1.50 per stem to pick. 5. Bullock Farms

Wander through the radiant sunflower and zinnia fields at Bullock Farms this fall! Enjoy the beautiful atmosphere and other attractions that the farm offers at the same time as the sunflowers, such as the zinnia fields. Bullock Farms tends to update followers on its Facebook page of current and upcoming events! Be sure to check their website and/or Facebook to ensure they are still hosting this event this year!
6. Happy Day Farm
Location: 77 Iron Ore Road, Manalapan, NJ 07726
Admission Cost: $18 per person (CASH ONLY) for the Sunflower and Zinnia Fields
Dates Open: July 8th to August 27th, 2023 (possible blooms also in fall)
At Happy Day Farm, visitors can Immerse themselves in acres of beautiful sunflowers and also zinnias! Specific details regarding the sunflower field can be found here. Happy Day Farm usually has more than one attraction at a time, so keep an eye on the website to see what is currently happening or coming up! They also typically reopen the sunflower field during their fall festival season (September 9th – October 29th). 7. Holland Ridge Farms‘ Fall Flower Festival
Location: 86 Rues Road, Cream Ridge, NJ 08514
Admission Cost: $15 per person ages 3+
Dates Open: September 15th to October 15th, 2023

9. NJ Sunflower Trail at Von Thun Farms

Von Thun Farms in Washington (Warren County) is offering its annual Sunflower Trail again this year! The sunflower trail is not too large, but it peaks with vibrant blooms during the summer months and has some cute photo-ops set up.
